They're saying that gas might go over $5 a gallon because of Ike. So of course people are panicking and lining up at the gas stations to fill up for $3.92. Let's assume gas does go up $1 a gallon tomorrow. Let's also assume that you have a 13 gallon gas tank. And then let's assume your car was running on fumes when you filled up. That 13 gallons will cost you $13 more tomorrow than it did today. Is that wait in line really worth $13 of your time, not to mention the gas you used sitting there? Personally I think my time is worth more than that and I would rather pay that extra money than sit in line. Besides, there's no guarantee gas will go up that high. Morons.
