The financial crisis has had me thinking about lots of things lately. I have so many different things bouncing around in my head right now that I decided it was time to put them in writing so I can organize my thoughts a little better. I'm going to try writing several posts about different topics. Hopefully this will help me revive Pocket Pigs since I've been slacking so much. Today I'm going to start by outlining my general thoughts as a preview of what's to come.
I know the roots of the financial crisis are incredibly complex and I don't pretend to be an expert on any of them. These are some of the reasons I think the country is in the mess we're in. The list isn't exhaustive and it isn't based on any research. These are purely my thoughts.
- Too much reliance on credit.
- Complacency.
- Lack of government oversight in the financial market.
- Instant gratification
I also have lots of thoughts about the bailout for the financial markets and the discussion about the bailout for the Big 3. Again, my thoughts aren't based on research or study. These are simply my thoughts.
I probably won't address these topics in any particular order, so bear with me. And I'm sure I'll get sidetracked by life and I won't be posting as often as I would like. Plus I'll probably come up with some other topics to write about in the near future, like the next one I'm about to post.
